Premium A4 Perfect-Bound Booklet and Magazine Printing
A4 perfect-bound booklets provide a professional, high-quality format for magazines, brochures and other substantial publications. Strong PUR adhesive creates a sturdy binding with an extended shelf life, making it suitable for heavier paper stocks and larger page counts.
This durable construction helps protect valuable content while providing an impressive finished publication at a cost-effective price.
Customisation Options
Create your A4 perfect-bound booklet with:
- A selection of internal paper stocks
- Multiple cover-paper options
- Three cover-lamination finishes
- Page counts ranging from 40 to 400 pages
How Perfect Binding Works
The internal pages and cover are joined along the spine using strong, flexible thermal adhesive. The remaining edges are then trimmed to produce the clean, precise finish associated with perfect binding.
Our PUR-bound brochures are up to 60% stronger because of the PUR adhesive used. This makes them a durable choice for publications containing heavier paper or a high number of pages.
Printing Methods
Orders of up to 500 copies are generally produced using advanced digital-printing equipment. Larger quantities are manufactured on modern lithographic presses.
Other A4 Binding Options
- A4 saddle-stitched books
- A4 Spot UV books
- A4 wiro-bound books
- A4 hardback books
UK shipping is free, although exceptions apply.

Preparing Design Files for A4 Perfect Binding
Submit the complete booklet artwork as two separate files.
1. Cover File
Supply the cover as a complete spread that includes the spine. Use the spine-width calculator to determine the correct spine measurement.
2. Internal Pages File
Provide the inner content as individual pages arranged in consecutive reading order.
For example, a 40-page brochure requires:
- One 36-page PDF containing the internal pages
- One two-page cover PDF, with the outside cover spread on page 1 and the inside cover spread on page 2
Artwork Requirements
- The complete booklet page count must be divisible by two.
- Keep text, page numbers and images safely away from every edge.
- Allow a minimum safe zone of 5 mm, although 10 mm is strongly recommended for the best result.
- Leave the inside spine and an additional 5 mm on either side completely unprinted to ensure effective glue adhesion.
- Add 3 mm of bleed on every side.
- Supply the artwork as a CMYK PDF.
- Outline or embed all fonts.
- Prepare the file at 300 dpi.
