Preparing Files for Takeaway Menu Printing
- Download the available artwork templates to prepare your files using the correct dimensions and panel widths.
- Before submitting the final artwork, print a physical mock-up to confirm that every panel and design element is positioned correctly.
- Supply leaflet artwork as a two-page, double-sided PDF. For an A4 leaflet folded to A5, page 1 of the PDF should contain leaflet pages 4 and 1, while page 2 should contain pages 2 and 3. View our folded-leaflet artwork illustration for a visual example.
- For artwork featuring a landscape fold, place the front and back covers together on the same PDF page. Keep the front cover in its correct orientation and rotate the back cover by 180 degrees. Place the inside panels on page 2 and rotate them by 180 degrees so they appear correctly when printed and folded.
- Print a mock-up before submitting landscape-fold artwork to verify that all pages have the correct orientation.
- Add 3 mm of bleed around every side.
- Submit the finished artwork as a CMYK PDF.
- Outline or embed all fonts.
- Maintain a minimum 3 mm safe zone around every edge.
- If the design includes a border, allow a 5 mm margin to achieve an even finish.
- Prepare all artwork at a resolution of 300 dpi.
