A5 Perfect-Bound Booklet Printing
Present your content professionally with high-quality A5 perfect-bound booklets and brochures. Their compact size, durable construction and refined appearance make them particularly suitable for magazines, guides and miniature catalogues.
Customisation Options
Choose from the available dropdown selections:
- Uncoated, Silk or Gloss internal paper
- Uncoated, Silk, Gloss and Creative cover stocks
- Matt, Gloss or Soft Touch lamination
- Page counts from 40 to 400 pages
- Order quantities from 1 to 10,000 copies
How Perfect Binding Works
The internal pages and cover are secured together along the spine using strong, flexible thermal adhesive. The remaining edges are then trimmed to create the clean, precise finish associated with perfect binding.
Our PUR-bound brochures are up to 60% stronger because of the PUR adhesive used. This makes them especially suitable for heavier paper stocks and publications with larger page counts.
Printing Methods
Orders of up to 500 copies are generally produced using our advanced digital-printing facilities. Larger quantities are manufactured on modern lithographic presses.

A5 Perfect-Bound Booklet Technical Specifications
Preparing Print-Ready Artwork
Submit the booklet artwork as two separate files:
- Cover file: Supply the complete cover as a spread that includes the spine. Use our spine-width calculator to determine the correct measurement.
- Internal-pages file: Provide all inner pages individually and arrange them in consecutive reading order.
For example, artwork for a 40-page brochure should include:
- One 36-page PDF containing the internal pages
- One two-page cover PDF, with the outside cover spread on page 1 and the inside cover spread on page 2
File Requirements
- The complete booklet page count must be divisible by two.
- Keep text, page numbers and images at least 10 mm away from every edge.
- Leave the inside spine and an additional 6 mm on either side completely unprinted to ensure effective glue adhesion.
- Add 3 mm of bleed on all sides.
- Supply the artwork as a CMYK PDF.
- Outline or embed all fonts.
- Prepare the file at 300 dpi.

Our range is also being expanded to include more environmentally credible products, and we encourage customers to consider choosing these options wherever appropriate.
Tradeprint supports Two Sides, the print and paper advocacy group that challenges greenwashing misconceptions and promotes paper as a genuinely sustainable product.
Reducing waste remains a key priority, particularly the elimination of problematic plastics from our printing and fulfilment operations.
