Do not just show your clients your logo—let them feel it. Our Spot UV Business Cards use a precision printing technique to apply a thick, ultra-gloss clear coat over the specific elements of your design you want to highlight.
We start by printing your artwork on heavy 350gsm silk stock and coating the entire card in a smooth Matt Lamination. We then apply the Spot UV varnish to your chosen areas. The resulting contrast between the flat matte background and the raised, reflective gloss creates an incredibly luxurious, high-end finish that demands attention.
To achieve the best results, use Spot UV on large, solid areas like bold logos or geometric patterns. Avoid using Spot UV on thin lines or small text (under 10pt), as the coating requires a larger surface area to properly adhere.
Setting up Spot UV requires a specific 4-page PDF file structure. Please follow these rules carefully to ensure accurate printing.

The 4-Page PDF Setup: Page 1 is your Front Design. Page 2 is your Back Design. Page 3 is the Spot UV mask for the Front. Page 4 is the Spot UV mask for the Back. (If one side does not require Spot UV, leave that page blank).

Spot UV Mask Rules: Your Spot UV mask pages (Pages 3 and 4) must contain ONLY the elements you want to be glossy. These elements must be set to 100% Black (No Cyan, Magenta, or Yellow). We highly recommend using vector shapes for your mask.

Tolerance: Spot UV has a registration tolerance of ±0.5 mm. Do not apply Spot UV to thin lines or small text.

Restrictions: We cannot apply rounded corners to Spot UV cards due to cutting tolerances.
