Custom Magazine Printing

Printed magazines provide a strong platform for presenting your brand identity, values, products and services to a wider audience. They can also create revenue opportunities through advertising space, subscriptions and sponsored content.

Saddle-Stitched Magazine Production

This format is particularly suitable for publications containing between 8 and 64 pages. The printed sheets are folded and stapled along the central fold, creating a neat, professional booklet that resembles an open saddle.

Customisation Options

Create a magazine tailored to your requirements with:

  • Custom sizes from A6 to A4
  • A broad choice of internal paper stocks
  • Multiple cover paper options
  • Six cover-lamination finishes

Adding lamination can improve durability, enhance the appearance and help your magazine make a more memorable impression.

Minimum Order Quantities

  • A4 and A5 magazines in portrait or landscape can be ordered from just one copy.
  • Other sizes are available from one copy when selecting a 130 gsm or 170 gsm self-cover.
  • All remaining options have a minimum order quantity of 25 copies.

Read our print-lamination guide for help selecting the most appropriate finish.

Preparing Design Files for Magazine Printing

For additional assistance with magazine printing, visit the booklet-help section of our Resource Hub.

Magazines are produced using saddle-stitched binding. Submit the complete artwork as one PDF, with every page arranged in consecutive reading order from the front cover through to the back cover.

For example, a 40-page magazine should be supplied as follows:

  • Page 1: Front cover
  • Pages 2–39: Internal pages in sequence
  • Page 40: Back cover

File Requirements

  • The total page count must be divisible by four.
  • Keep all text, page numbers and images away from the page edges.
  • Maintain a safe zone of at least 5 mm on every side.
  • A 10 mm safe zone is preferred for a better finished result.
  • Add 3 mm of bleed around all sides.
  • Supply the artwork as a CMYK PDF.
  • Outline or embed all fonts.
  • Prepare the file at 300 dpi.
